The French Sleep Research and Medicine Society’s Goals

The French Sleep Research and Medicine Society is an international scientific non-profit organization which brings together practitioners, researchers, and healthcare professionals. All working under their respected practices to uncover more information involved in the mechanisms of sleep, and sleep disorders. The Society gathers all relevant components of a very progressive and outreaching discipline.

Scientific Position and Partnership

The FSRMS promotes fundamental knowledge and clinical interests during its Annual Congress which brings together professionals, research networks through plenary lectures, symposia and workshops.

The continuous development of the discipline introduces a scientific partnership based on its transversal aspects and compliments between medical specialties. Scientific and management committees make this Congress a high level multidisciplinary meeting on all aspects of sleep research and care management in order to increase its audience, and to promote professional dialogue.

The French Sleep Researchans Medicine Society also supports young researchers’ studies by the establishment of fellowships and awards.

Health Care Management


The FSRMS helps any therapists, groups and institutions concerned with improving care and education regarding sleep diseases. The Society also participates in the establishment of medical references, clinical practices guidelines, and organized a sleep center accreditation strategy.

Medical Standards and Clinical Practices Guideline

In order to ensure a high quality sleep medicine, the FSRMS is working with the French Health High Authority and many associations of the French Department of Health to provide and publish clinical standards to promote the professional practices evaluation.

Sleep Centers Accreditation

The FSRMS established a sleep centers accreditation process according to the European and International scientific organizations guidelines which aims to improve clinical practices and the infrastructure dedicated to sleep exploration.

Education


The FSRMS contributes by training specialized clinicians in sleep medicine in attaining a national degree. And by a selection of 100 students each year through complimentary training in different fields of sleep medication. Working closely with other scientific organizations, the FSRMS provides training programs of high quality.

Internationally

The French Sleep Research and Medicine Society is recognized along with European and American Sleep Societies.

It is a member of the “Assembly of National Sleep Societies.”
