– déterminer les conséquences d’un manque du sommeil et de développer de nouvelles approches thérapeutiques visant à traiter les troubles de l’éveil et du métabolisme

Les travaux de cette équipe s’attachent à démontrer les mécanismes centraux responsables du maintien de l’éveil et de la vigilance, avec une focalisation sur les neurones à histamine et à orexine :
– Rôles de l’histamine et de l’orexine dans le maintien de la vigilance et dans les différents contextes comportementaux (Takahishi et al 2006,2008,2009 ; Anaclet et al., 2009 ; Parmentier et al., 2009).
– Mécanismes de l’éveil cortical (Crochet et Petersen, 2006 ; Pernot et al., 2008)
– Mécanismes génétiques et moléculaires de l’éveil (Seugnet et al., 2006 ; 2009)
– Sommeil et troubles métaboliques (Spiegel et al. 2004 ; 2005, 2009).
– Etude pré-clinique et clinique des propriétés éveillantes des agonistes inverses des récepteurs histaminergiques H3 (Lin et al., 2008 ; Guo et al., 2009).
– Sommeil chez l’enfant (Kato et al. 2006 ; Franco et al., 2008 ; Montemitro et al., 2008)
